Moto Iron LED Laydown Squareback Light for 1973-1998 Harley-Davidson

Moto Iron LED Laydown Squareback Light for 1973-1998 Harley-Davidson

Moto Iron LED Laydown Squareback Light for 1973-1998 Harley-Davidson

The squareback taillamp is a classic that's never gone out of style. For many, it's the quintessential light for the back of a Harley. This one has all the goodies and upgrades riders have dreamed up over the years in a single unit

  • Super bright LEDs help you be seen
  • Integrated turn signals can be used or disregarded
  • Integrated tag lamp casts white light on the license plate
  • Smoked lens "disappears" when not illuminated
  • Modest layback style is low profile and splits the difference between the heavily-tilted aftermarket units and perpendicular OE design
    • This design tilts the light upwards, adding a bit of safety with the proliferation of taller vehicles on American roads
  • IP67 rated for water ingress
  • Plug-and-play connectors for later applications
  • Connectors can be clipped off for use on earlier models
    • ABS polymer construction
  • Simple to wire
    • White wire—tail lamp
    • Red wire—brake lamp
    • Black wire—ground
    • Blue wire—left turn signal
    • Yellow wire—right turn signal

This lamp installs easily in place of your factory reflector and housing with OE fasteners. Brake, tail, and license plate wiring can be used within—or independent of—the included connector, which mates to later Harley-Davidson harnesses. Turn signal connectors can be used or clipped if your bike is earlier.

For proper turn signal function, older bikes (pre-2014) may require turn signal resistors or an electronic flasher, especially if you're converting incandescent front turn signals to LED at the same time. We prefer the flasher unit since it's a bit more compact and reduces electrical draw, but either one will restore turn signal flashing to an acceptable rate.
