This tag bracket's unique modular design allows the license plate to be mounted horizontally or vertically on either the left or right side of the bike—just reconfigure it using the included hardware in the appropriate mounting holes in the bracket.
When selecting your mount style, you have a few options. Pre-2000 Harley-Davidsons used 3/4" axles. Many popular metric rear axles are 20mm. The 3/4" tag mount is suitable for both. The 1" axle mount can be used for post-2000 Harley-Davidson motorcycles with 1" or 25mm axles, and the 1/2" shock-mount unit can be fitted to many motorcycles with exposed shocks mounted with hardware up to 1/2" in diameter. We recommend using hardware that is 3/16" longer than your existing hardware in all applications (not included).
This plate holder is designed for a license plate only, but can be converted to use antique Ford-style taillights with the purchase of our adapter kit. Plate mount points are 1.575" on-centers; a taillight of your own design can be fitted on the unused pair of holes. However, we also offer tag brackets with tail lights—check those out if you're not mounting your tail light separately from your tag.
